The launch of Micromedia Animation Studios marks a milestone in the African entertainment industry, responding to the increasing demand for high-quality graphic animated content rooted in African stories.

However, much of the content consumed is imported. Micromedia Animation Studios aims to change that narrative by creating 2D and 3D animation series and feature films thereby providing a platform for African animators to showcase their talent and creativity,” Ibironke stated.

The studio’s flagship series, “Kibi Quazi,” has already garnered positive feedback, setting the stage for an exciting lineup of three upcoming releases in the coming year, Power Chord Girls, SAGi and TWOA.

Ibironke expressed confidence that the studio would not only elevate the quality of African animation but also serve as a launchpad for budding animators and digital media enthusiasts.
