eGagasini: Waves of Change is a new local telenovela produced by Stained Glass TV, the production house known for Durban Gen. It replaces House of Zwide in e.tv’s evening schedule and forms part of the channel’s new Golden Hour primetime block.

The story centres on the music group Truth or Dare, made up of three ambitious friends from Umlazi: Lwandle, Njabulo, and Sihle. A viral video launches them into the spotlight, but their rising fame collides with a tragic incident aboard a yacht that leaves a young woman dead. The trio enters a pact of silence that risks destroying their careers and personal lives as guilt, fear, and external pressures mount.

Meshack Mavuso stars as Senzo Dube, a veteran music producer and founder of the struggling Umlilo Records label, who is fighting to rebuild his legacy. Gugu Gumede plays his wife and business partner, Phumelela Dube, an ambitious and strategic figure who sees the potential in Truth or Dare and pushes their career forward.

Nolwazi Tsebesha portrays their daughter, Noxolo Dube, a privileged and high-achieving young woman whose life becomes intertwined with the group’s success. The central trio features Aphelele Shezi as Njabulo (a visionary producer and hustler), Nomfundo Radebe as Sihle (a bold vocalist), and Londeka Mkhwanazi as Lwandle (a talented singer navigating faith and ambition).

Additional cast members include Ntando Mncube, Duduzile Ngcobo, Mduduzo Nombela, and Anele Nene. Produced by Gugulethu Zuma and Pepsi Pokane, the series blends elements of music, family dynamics, ambition, romance, betrayal, and the consequences of hidden truths, all set against Durban’s competitive music industry.
