Africa Magic has scheduled Monday, 31 August 2026, as the premiere date for Hello Future Me, the 26-episode sequel to its 2025 romantic drama Dear Future Me. The series will air on Africa Magic Showcase (DStv Channel 151 and GOtv Channel 8) at 9 p.m. WAT, with new episodes each weekday. It will also be available on DStv Stream and GOtv Stream.
In Dear Future Me, audiences followed Boma (Femi Adekanye) and Dayo (Ruby Agwu) as they worked through past betrayals to rebuild their relationship. Their children, Adele (Ejiroghene Asagba) and Banky (Johnson Ibeh), carried the emotional consequences of those earlier mistakes. Hello Future Me picks up the story after that healing and turns its attention to the practical difficulties that follow.
Adele’s plans to study abroad end abruptly because of financial hardship. She returns to Nigeria and moves into her father’s newly blended household, sharing space with her stepmother Dayo and with Banky, once a romantic interest and now her stepbrother. Old feelings, household tensions, and new daily realities make the arrangement anything but simple. While Adele tries to reshape her identity through social media, the rest of the family confronts its own pressures. Banky attempts to redefine himself after a career-ending injury. Boma faces growing financial strain. Dayo must absorb a devastating fertility diagnosis.
Atinuke Babatunde, Executive Head, Content and Channels, West Africa, MultiChoice Nigeria, described the decision to continue the story: “Following the strong response to Dear Future Me, we’re excited to bring viewers the next chapter with Hello Future Me. As we continue to expand Africa Magic’s slate of original productions, we’re intentional about backing stories that are relatable, emotionally grounded and unmistakably Nigerian. Hello Future Me captures the complexities of family, love and ambition in a way we know will resonate with audiences.”
Executive producers Adeniyi Joseph Omobulejo and Allen Onyige added: “Hello Future Me explores what happens when the version of the future you imagined presents challenges you didn’t bargain for. The characters are older, life is more complicated, and they’re forced to confront dreams that haven’t gone according to plan. At its heart, it’s still a story about love and sacrifice, but also about life’s uncertainties, resilience, and finding hope when the future looks different from what you imagined.”
The series blends romance, humor, and family drama to examine identity, resilience, ambition, and second chances. It follows characters whose expectations are tested by circumstances they did not choose. The cast includes Ruby Agwu, Femi Adekanye, Johnson Ibeh, Ejiroghene Asagba, and Patience Ene Ujah.

Hello Future Me continues a familiar story by asking a direct question: what remains when the future you prepared for no longer exists? The series places its characters inside that uncertainty and lets the answers unfold across twenty-six episodes, beginning 31 August.
