Summer Rain tells the story of two friends whose journey to love spans over 10 years. It also highlights how certain experiences shaped their lives and how the choices parents make affect their children. Summer Rain is about love, life and living for today.
The romantic drama film Summer Rain will soon commence principal photography with an amazing cast including Bolaji Ogunmola, Daniel Etim-Effiong, Lateef Adedimeji, Genoveva Umeh, Kayode
Ojuolape Jnr., Tina Mba, Femi Branch, Emeka Nwagbarocha, Michael Ejoor, Kalu-Anaga
Emmanuel Eme, Temitope Olowoniyan, Kachi Nnochiri, Darasimi Nadi and more.
In an exclusive to SHOCK newsroom, Director Adenike revealed her reason for telling this story.
“With the many happenings in the world, we sometimes get carried away and forget what really matters. We wanted to tell this story to share that even amid adversities, love will find a way”
She proceeded further by saying ‘Everyone is going to love this story. It’s a love story that transcends 10 years. So, whether young or old, everyone will have something to connect with in Summer Rain’.
Principal photography commences in April and a possible release later in the year 2024.
Tangent
The lawyer-turned-content creator Adenike Esho, after practising for a few years, decided to pursue a career in TV/Media/Film. Her passion for the media industry led her to be a film critic. Adenike Esho is also set to release her Directorial Debut, Chemistry on Netflix come April 19th.
Bolaji Ogunmola is a Nollywood actress and film producer who studied business management and entrepreneurship at the National Open University of Nigeria. She’s known for Reach (2020), Yours Regardless (2023) and Lost (2022). Bolaji has an upcoming film called Anjola which has been selected to screen at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival.
In Summary
Summer Rain is a story that spans through Love, trauma, family struggles and generational pains.
The release date is still unknown but the feature is confirmed to have a theatrical run sometimes this year.
