Head Over Bills

Head Over Bills by Dabby Chimere is the story of three privileged and spoiled sisters who find love in pursuit of their mother’s approval, lose it and rediscover themselves.

Starring Shaffy Bello, Bimbo Ademoye, Uzor Arukwe, Anita Joseph, Mofe Duncan, Alex Cross, Ego Nwosu, Emeka Nwagbaraocha, Rachael Okonkwo, and Jessica Tse.

Head Over Bill heads for release on Prime Video on April 5th.

Boycott

Written by Chinazom Akobundu and directed by  Stanfame Ajalaja, Boycott is an action drama film that tells of the life chronicles of Yusuf who is pressured to join a terrorist group to save his dying daughter after he lost his father to the same illness. Things soon take a new twist after he loses his head over the daughter of Alhaji Biu (their bankroller) during a cleansing procedure observed before even a suicide mission.

Now everyone – the guerilla group, the sponsor, and the police – wants him dead for varying reasons.

Starring Richard Mofe Damijo, Kunle Coker, Yemi Blaq, Tolulope Asanu, Ejiro Kellie, Emmanuella Nicholas, Emmanuel Nnamdi, and Lovelyn Christian.

Boycott had its initial release to Nigerian cinemas on, March 11 2022. However, it is set for a new release on the Prime Video streaming platform on 5th April.

Checklist

Directed by Yemi Morafa, Checklist is a Nollywood drama film starring Nollywood faves including Bimbo Ademoye, Ayoola Ayolola, Ebisan Arayi, Stephen Damian, Saidat Balogun, Mawuli Gavor, Evelyn John, Jimmy Odukoya, Beverly Osu, and Linda Osifo.

The checklist is set for a new release on 5th April on the Prime Video streaming platform.

Ajosepo

Directed by Kayode Kasum, produced by Feyifunmi Oginni, and written by Stephen Okonkwo, Ajosepo tells the story of two estranged brothers, Jide and Dapo are compelled to unite when their father becomes embroiled in a compromising situation with the bride’s aunt, endangering the wedding.

Starring Timini Egbuson, Bisola Aiyeola, Tomike Adeoye, Mercy Aigbe, and Mike Afolarin, alongside Nollywood veterans Yemi Solade, Ronke Ojo, and Muyiwa Ademola.

Ajosepo is set for release in Nigerian cinemas on April 10.

Hidden

Starring Ego Nwosu, Ruth Kadiri, Efa Iwara, Eddie Watson, Frances Nwanbunike, and many others. Hidden is a Nollywood drama film set for release on 12th April 2024.

Cranky Decision

Directed by Saheed Apanpa, Cranky Decision is a family drama film that was initially released on 9th December 2022.

Charity believes only weak women like Sylvia, her late friend, allow men to dominate them in the name of marriage. She asserts that husband and wife have equal rights in the affairs of the family including domestic chores, but financial provision is the sole responsibility of a man.

Starring Uzor Arukwe, Lota Chukwu, Vivian Gabriel, Ruth Jacob, Emerald Nwani, and Okey Uzoeshi.

Cranky Decision is ready for a new release on April 12th on Amazon Prime Video.

Alagbede

The Nollywood indigenous film Alagbede, known as Blacksmith, was produced by Jaiye Kuti. Blacksmith (Alagbede) portrays the pressures, fears, and hustles of a local blacksmith determined to make it big.

Starring Kehinde Bankole, Femi Adebayo, Jaiye Kuti, GabrielAfolayan, Mr Macaroni, Fathia Balogun, Bimbo Oshin, Jide Kosoko, Damilola Oni, Bimpe Akintunde, and Eniola Ajao.

Alagbede will be available in Nigeria cinemas on 19th April 2024.

Safe

A Professional Smuggler falls in love with a lady and decides to leave her life behind. Trouble brews as he is duped of a large sum of money and runs into debt. The only way out is to go back to his old life or face the consequences.

Starring Jimmy Odukoya, Jide Kosoko, Dior Adiele, and a host of others. Safe is coming to Prime Video on 19th April.

Ch3mistry

The romantic drama Ch3mistry was directed by Adenike Esho and produced by Imagine Media. Starring Daniel Etim Effiong, Eby Eno, Bolaji Ogunmola, Michael Ejoor, Biodun Stephen, and Jayonair.

Chemistry is a romantic drama that tells the story of a newlywed couple who look forward to having sex for the first time. However, things don’t go as planned because different issues and problems keep arising.

Chemistry will grace our screens via Netflix on 19th April 2024.

Fool’s Day

Directed by Tunde Olaoye, Fool’s Day is a comedy-drama film that tells the story of a couple preparing for a party find themselves accidentally unearthing the secrets of their children and staff as they search for a missing shoe.

Starring Omowunmi Dada, Iyabo Ojo, Broda Shaggi, Tina Mba, Michael Okoli, and Tunji Sotimirin.

Fool’s Day awaits its new release on Prime Video on 26th April 2024.

Strained

Directed by Okechukwu Oku, this feature follows Ebere’s strained relationship with her estranged mother has an unexpected chance at rebirth when she visits to help her daughter with her infant son.

The drama stars Queen Nwokoye, Tracey George, Samuel Nnabuike and Adaeze Onuigbo

Debuts on Netflix on April 27th
