Áfàméfùnà – (Box Office) 

“Áfàméfùnà: An Nwa Boi Story,” the upcoming film from Come On Naija, is the first feature-length film on the Igbo apprenticeship system and how it revitalised the community’s economy by allowing successful Igbo men to pass on their knowledge and blessings to apprentices, perpetuating the cycle of wealth creation.

Directed by Kayode Kasum, the film features a remarkable cast that includes Kanayo O. Kanayo, Stan Nze, Alexx Ekubo, Atlanta Bridget Johnson, Segun Arinze, with appearances from Jide Kene Achufusi, and Noble Igwe. Omobayowa Alabi produced the film, which was executive-produced by Lawumi Fajemirokun and Kenechukwu Egbue.

Release date December 1st. 2023.

Wura Season 2 (Showmax)

Set against the backdrop of the gold mining industry, Wura follows the secret lives of Wura Amoo-Adeleke, a perfect wife, loving mother, and the ruthless iron lady and Chief Executive of Frontline Gold Mine. The film stars starring Scarlet Gomez, Yomi Fash Lanso, Carol King, Ray Adeka, Iremide Adeoye, Ego Iheanacho, Martha Ehinome, Lanre Adediwura, Oluwaseyi Akinsola, Ropo Ewenla, Miracle Gabriel, and Tersy Akpata.

Blood Vessel (Netflix)

Brought together by chance, six people fleeing a town devastated by oil pollution stow away on a mysterious ship -not realizing the dangers that await. Produced by Roxanne Adekunle-Wright and directed by  Moses Inwang, the Netflix Nigerian film stars Katarina Ataman, Alexa Iniye, Hailliote Sumney, Oyibo Rebel, René Mena and many others.

Release date December 8th, 2023 on Netflix.

Osato (Box Office) 

Osato is directed by Charles Uwagbai, and written by Prisca Okeke and Etinosa Idemudia. The ROK Studios-backed project follows the journey of a street girl who is struggling with the line of her work and is caught in a web of criminal activity.

Big Brother Winner Josephina Phyna Otabor plays the lead role with Shawn Faqua, Femi Branch, Daniella Ogie Moses, and Mercy Aigbe starring in the big screen crime drama.

Release date December 8th, 2023.


The star-studded film,  produced and directed by Victor Okere, follows two newly weds back from their honeymoon. It features Alex Ekubo, Nancy Isime, Stephnora Okere, Zack Orji, Nosa Rex, Jibola Dabo and several others.

Agu (Showmax)

Agu is a six-part series that tells the story of a legal practitioner and an alcoholic, Etim, who tries to revive his failing career by representing his new-found friend and traditional worshipper, Pius, accused of murdering his friend in a forest.

Etim finds himself up against another colleague,  with whom he shares a dicey past, on the case, not to mention, a stern boss Lola, who would go to any lengths to ensure her company isn’t dragged into public. The film stars  Kanayo O. Kanayo, Nonso Odogwu, Ruby Okezie and Ireti Doyle.

Agu is scheduled to premiere on Showmax on December 14, 2023.

Breath of Life (Prime)

Written and directed by BB Sasore and produced by Eku Edewor, Breath of Life portrays the story of a former clergyman who loses everything he holds dear including his faith and goes on a journey of self-transformation when his life is taken over by his Christian houseboy.

The feature is led by Wale Ojo, Sam Dede, Tina Mba and Eku Edewor. Others include Chimezie Imo, Genoveva Umeh, Ademola Adedoyin, and Chidozie Nzeribe.

Release date – December 15th, 2023 on Prime Video.

Ada Omo Daddy (Box Office)

Ada Omo Daddy is a family-oriented drama produced by Mercy Aigbe and co-directed by Akay Mason and Adebayo Tijani.

Directed by  Adeoluwa Owu and Funke Akindele-Bello,  A Tribe Called Judah is a story about a family of boys who decide to rob a small mall with the help of their mother. However, on getting there, they are faced with armed robbers.

Ogeere (Box Office)

Directed by Ololade Tijani Ebong, Ogeere is a captivating romantic drama that combines thrilling elements with entertainment, emotions, and valuable lessons. The films feature Jide Kosoko, Kola Oyewo, Dele Idule, Yinka Quadri, Iya Awero, Clarion Chukwura, Olaiya Kayode (Aderopoko), Peju Ogunmola, and Peter Fatomilola.

This is Lagos (Box Office)

Directed by Kenneth Gyang, the film portrays the captivating journey of Stevo, portrayed brilliantly by Gabriel Afolayan, a young man with an insatiable hunger for superstardom in a city where everyone wears a mask of some kind. This Is Lagos skillfully captures Stevo’s story in a darkly humorous manner.

The movie also features a star-studded ensemble cast, including Ikechukwu Onunaku, Rahama Sadau, Kate Henshaw, Enyinna Nwigwe, Sani Muazu, David Jones David, Greg Ojefua, Mike Afolarin, and Jibrin Homsuk with a special appearance by the music sensation Jesse Jagz and introducing Laura Pepple.
