Tangent
The release of the What About Us movie trailer sparked a heated debate on the role of mainstream actors in faith-based films. Critics argue that similar to Mount Zion Films, faith-based movies should feature Christian actors whose lifestyles reflect the values they portray on screen.
They contend that as pastors and gospel musicians minister through their respective mediums, gospel actors also minister to audiences through their performances. Supporters believe that an actor’s faith should align with the spiritual messages they convey, emphasizing that many people are drawn to faith not just through songs or sermons, but through the impactful narratives of faith-based films.
