Prime video has officially begun its streaming push into the continent of Africa. For its first set of originals, the service has commissioned Nemesia studio for a slate of films that would boost its offering of African content on its library.  Breadth of life would be the first picture from this slate and is set to begin production at the end of July 2022.

Nemsia has exclusively confirmed to SHOCK that Wale Ojo would lead the original title that has a faith-based theme.

Written and Directed by BB Sasore, the title takes place in 1950s Nigeria and follows the story of a man who has lost his sense of purpose until an encounter with a young man who changes his life and destiny.

Breath of life has been in development a few years back with the studio pitching the title to prime video who then gave it a green light in early 2022.

Produced by Eku Edewor, the title would be principally shot in Lagos, Nigeria and is set to be released on prime video next year 2023. More casting news would follow shortly.
