Showing across 60 cinemas nationwide, “The Silent Intruder” made a decent N16.53 million in its first week, securing the second spot behind “The Bee Keeper,” which grossed over N26 million in three weeks.

Following closely behind is “Argylle,” which earned N13.93 million in two weeks.

Produced by Mo’Fakorede and directed by Uyoyou Adia, “The Silent Intruder” follows the story of a married couple seeking help from a psychologist as their sexual life begins to falter. However, things take a dark turn when the psychologist manipulates the wife’s life.

Starring Uche Montana, Pere Egbi, Onyekachi Nnochiri, Lucy Francesca Amen, Venita Akpofure, Dotun Oloniyo, and Lydia Achebe, with Pere Egbi serving as the executive producer.

The movie which hit the cinemas on the 14th of February 2024 made a fantastic 10.4 million Naira within just 48 hours of its release. Centred around Demi and Kanla, it delves into their flourishing fashion empire and unwavering bond, which takes an unexpected turn with the arrival of Mbali.

As romantic complications arise, tensions mount, resulting in a captivating love triangle. With an exceptional ensemble cast featuring Deyemi Okanlawon, Timini Egbuson, Buhle Samuels, Adedimeji Lateef, and Ireti Doyle, among others, and with Deyemi Okanlawon serving as executive producer in collaboration with Film One and Accelerate TV.

3. Argylle

Argylle, a spy action comedy film directed and produced by Matthew Vaughn, and written by Jason Fuchs, boasts an ensemble cast including Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Rockwell, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, Henry Cavill, Sofia Boutella, Dua Lipa, Ariana DeBose, John Cena, and Samuel L. Jackson.

“The Silent Intruder” made N16.53 million in its first week, while “Meeting Funmi’s Parents” earned N14 million within the same timeframe. As for “All is Fair in Love,” although the data for its first seven days is not available, it garnered N27 million in just five days, indicating a strong lead in gross ticket sales.

These numbers are better than 2021 valentines titles that raked in less N12 M in the first week of theatrical sales.
