Tribe Nation Theatrical Distribution and Viensa Productions are thrilled to unveil an
exclusive first look at ‘Force Empire’, the highly anticipated new film by acclaimed
Nigerian filmmaker and actress Ndy Akan. Featuring Nollywood heavyweights Richard
Mofe Damijo (RMD), Nse Ikpe-Etim, Segun Arinze and Mercy Aigbe, ‘Force Empire’ is set
to hit cinemas nationwide on August 23, 2024.

The film tells the story of DCP Mfon, portrayed by Nse Ikpe-Etim (“A Tribe Called Judah”,
“A Sunday Affair”, “Glamour Girls”), who is resolute in unmasking the perpetrator who
assaulted and humiliated her protégé, ASP Halima, played by emerging actress,
Enwongoabasi Ibom. Traumatized and fearful, Halima’s plight drives Mfon to expose
the culprit and other corrupt officers tarnishing the Nigerian Police Force’s reputation,
despite fierce resistance from the top brass.

The film also stars Nollywood heavyweight Richard Mofe Damijo (known for “The Black
Book”, “Namaste Wahala”, and “Merry Men”) who delivers a compelling performance as
IGP Ejiro. Segun Arinze plays AIG Omotosho, whose actions have far-reaching
consequences. Mercy Aigbe (“Ada Omo Daddy”, “Omo Ghetto: The Saga”, “Beast of Two
Worlds”) shines in an undisclosed pivotal role. Other key actors include Tony Umez,
Kunle Coker, Sonny McDon, Aniebiet Francis, and Richard Johnson.

‘Force Empire’ is produced by Ndy Akan under her production company, Viensa
Productions. Known for her debut film, “1929: Women at War,” Ndy continues to
address significant social issues through her work. ‘Force Empire’ sheds light on the
issue of sexual assault faced by women in the male-dominated police force and the
workplace in general.

In a statement, Akan said, “Force Empire is a film about justice. It aims to highlight and
encourage the outstanding police officers within the Nigeria Police Force while also
addressing the unfortunate actions of a few that have tarnished its reputation. The film
reinforces a vital message consistently communicated by the leadership: that every
officer, regardless of rank, will face consequences for any criminal behavior.”

The film is distributed by Tribe Nation Theatrical Distribution, a prominent Nigerian film
distribution company. ‘Force Empire’ will be available in major cinema chains and
independent theaters across Nigeria starting August 23, 2024.
