Aníkúlápó: Rise of the Spectre (Series)

Anikulapo, A Kunle Afolayan Productions returns as a series exclusively on Netflix on March 1st 2024.  Starring Kunle Remi, Bimbo Ademoye, Mr Macaroni, Sola Sobowale, Eyiyemi Afolayan, Taiwo Hassan, Fathia Williams, Adebayo Salami, Toyin Afolayan, Dele Odule, Yinka Quadri and many others.

The Nollywood indigenous film Anikulapo delves into the story of Saro, after an affair with the king’s wife leads to his demise, a zealous traveller encounters a mystical bird with the power to give him another chance.

You should see the film on 1st of March, 2024.

Rainmakers

The highly esteemed filmmaker Niyi Akinmolayan through Anthill Productions is set to premier his new documentary Rainmakers on Prime Video on 1st March 2024.

The film explores the intriguing dynamics between science and traditional practices in rainmaking, employing a unique approach that involves comparing weather app predictions with the powers of traditional rainmakers.

Ebuka Turns up Africa

Ebuka Turns up Africa is a travel reality series showcasing Ebuka and his teams, which will be released on March 1st 2024 on the Prime Video streaming app.

Starring Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Timini Egbuson, Zubby Michael, Jimmie Akinsola, Onoja Adole, and Alistair Englebert Preston. The exciting adventure of six Nigerian guys, Ebuka Turns up Africa, is a three-episode series.

The Two Aisha

After a bitter fallout with her best friend when her husband was handed the gubernatorial ticket, which was taken from her best friend’s husband, Aisha Yusuf must reconcile with her best friend and unite their husbands, who are now at loggerheads.

The Two Aisha was directed by Alexander Obi and produced by Shareefah Abiola Andu. Starring Nyma Akashat-Zibiri, Shushu Abubakar, M.C. Ayulah, Suleiman Aledeh, Maryam Booth, Kunle Coker, Rahama Sadau, Paul Utomi and many others.

This film will be released on Prime Video on 1st March 2024.

Her Dark Past

Starring Ihuoma Linda Ejiofor and Daniel Etim Effiong it is set to release on Africa Magic Showcase, 3rd March by 8:30 pm WAT, and Africa Magic Urban, 10th March by 8:00 pm WAT.

It delves into the life of Tosin Nwosu, A high-flying social media influencer and life coach whose life starts to crumble when a child she abandoned for dead gives way to the secrets that imperil her seemingly perfect world: unearthing the trauma, she daily fights to bury.

Her Dark Past is a film by the Multichoice Talent Factory 2023 students.

Different Strokes

Directed by Biodun Stephen, Different Strokes delves into the story of four friends who share one goal and an unwavering commitment to achieve it. They however realise their aspiration requires more than just a shared goal.

The Nollywood drama stars Lateef Oladimeji, Daniel Effiong, Jim Iyke, Blessing Obasi, Lilian Esoro, Deyemi Okanlawon, Mosun Filan Oduoye and Mercy Johnson Okojie.

Different Strokes is coming to Prime Video on March 8, 2024.

Japa

Starring JideKene Achufusi, Adesua Etomi Wellington, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Seun Ajayi, Layi Wasabi & Mofe Duncan.

This sci-fi comedy film, Japa follows the story of Mezu (Jidekene) a disillusioned Teacher, whose attempts to relocate from Nigeria to the United States in search of greener pastures are obstructed by forces beyond his comprehension.

Directed by Isioma Osaje, Japa is coming exclusively to Prime Video on 8th March 2024.

Insecure

Directed by Benn Nwokike, Insecure is the story of a jilted woman’s determination to win back her husband leads her down a perilous and criminal path.

Starring Beverly Naya, Efa Iwara, and Darasimi Nnadi among many others. Insecure will be released in cinemas on March 8th 2024.

Eid Dinner

Directed by Stephanie Dadet, Eid Dinner is coming to Channel 151 African Magic Showcase on 10th March.

Eid was weeks ago but this won’t stop Amina Alli from gathering her family together for her annual dinner. The only problem here is that things have changed and nobody cares as much as she does. Worse, everyone’s sitting on a secret and this is the last place they want it revealed but we all know what’s coming next.

 

Where The Heck is My Period

Directed by Michael Akinrogunde, Where The Heck is My Period is a documentary interview feature film to raise awareness of PCOS.

The documentary features interviews with culturally diverse Nigerian women living with PCOS as well as gynaecologists, pastors, public figures, and African traditional medicine practitioners.

The Kuju Again

The Kujus Again is the return of The Kujus directed by Biodun Stephen. The movie is about a group of siblings, who visit Badagry in remembrance of their late mother.

Starring Timini Egbuson, Bisola Aiyeola, Bimbo Ademoye, Boluwatife Aderogba, Sophia Augustine, Ronke Odusanya, Femi Jacobs, Don Jazzy, Kunle Remi and many others.

The Kujus Again is coming to Prime Video on 22nd March 2024.

Casa De Nova

Directed by Uyoyou Adia, Casa De Nova is a Nollywood film that will grace our screens on 29th March 2024 on Prime Video.

Starring Taye Aromoro, Lilian Esoro, Anne Icha, Efe Irele, Tope Tedela, Nosa Rex, Lizzy Jay, Eso Dike, Moyinoluwa Olutayo, Miriam Peter and many others.

Beast of Two Worlds 

Produced by Eniola Ajao in collaboration with Anthill Studios, Beast of Two Worlds is a Nigerian indigenous film which delves into a world where two worlds clash, Beast of Two Worlds (Ajanaku) follows the story of a fearless king who must do the needful to protect his dynasty against all odds

Starring Odunlade Adekola, Femi Adebayo, Mercy Aigbe, Lateef Adedimeji, Sola Sobowale, Ibrahim Chatta, and Fathia Balogun.

This film will be released in cinemas on 29th March 2024.

Áfàméfùnà: An Nwa Boi Story

Afamefuna is a Nollywood indigenous film written by Anyanwu Sandra Adaora and directed by Kayode Kasum. It was initially released to Nigerian cinemas on 1st December 2023. It was also the top 10 highest-grossing for 2023.

In the heart of Nnewi in Anambra State, genial billionaire Afamefuna Okoli, and his radiant wife Amaka, throw a lavish funeral party for Afam’s deceased father. Amid the mega-shinding, officers of the Nigerian Police arrive and privately invite Afam’s to the station.

Áfàméfùnà: An Nwa Boi Story encapsulates the complexities of the Igbo apprenticeship system. This film will be released on Netflix on 29th March 2024.
