The highly anticipated return of the South African drama Savage Beauty for its second season brings a compelling narrative filled with intrigue and suspense.

Produced by Quizzical Pictures, the six-episode series delves into the complex dynamics of the Bhengu family as they strive to maintain their beauty empire amidst internal strife and external threats. Led by patriarch Don Bhengu, brilliantly portrayed by Dumisani Mbebe, the family grapples with power struggles and familial tensions, with each member harbouring their own secrets and agendas.

As the new season unfolds, viewers are drawn deeper into the intricate web of relationships and power dynamics within the Bhengu family. Key Background

Quizzical Pictures, formerly known as Curious Pictures until 2012, is a renowned South African film and television production company based in Johannesburg.

Established in 1993 as Weekly Mail Television, it later evolved into Mail & Guardian Television before separating from the Mail & Guardian in 1999 to become Curious Pictures.

To distinguish itself from a similarly named American production company, the company rebranded as Quizzical Pictures in 2012. Known for producing dramas, comedies, and reality shows, Quizzical Pictures has amassed numerous awards and nominations, including recognition at the SAFTAs, Africa Movie Academy Awards, Rose d’Or, Peabody Awards, and International Emmy Awards.

Netflix has also dated the return of its Nigerian series “Oloture” for a June 28th debut.  The sex trafficking-themed title produced by Ebony Life Studios, returns as a series which follows the story of a young Nigerian journalist working undercover as a sex worker in Nigeria to expose corruption, during this journey, she fights for her life as she forges a path to Europe

This anticipated sequel releases 4 years after the first feature’s Netflix debut with a fine lineup of cast that includes Sharon Ooja, Omoni Oboli, Beverley Osu, Ikechukwu Onunaku, Stan Nze
