Beyond the Veil (Series)

Season 2 of  Beyond the Veil is set to premiere on Prime Video on June 7th, following a highly successful first season. The series follows five women from northern Nigeria as they navigate the complexities of modern life, including careers, friendships, romances, and cultural clashes.

The cast features Jemima Osunde, Maryam Booth, Norah Ego, Ummi Baba Ahmed, Ame Aiyejina, Norbert Young, Habiba Zock-Sock, Yakubu Mohammed, Rikadawa Rabiu, and Caleb Richard. The show is created by Nadine Ibrahim and Sifa Asani Gowon.

Murder on Space X (Voice  Drama)

Murder On Space X is a murder mystery family drama. The plots unfold as the story of the dysfunctional Chief Macaulay’s family with each member of the family nursing their personal grudges, Mr. Jude’s fate hangs in the balance. As dinner unfolds, a deadly scheme reaches its climax, leaving everyone in the family a suspect in the mystery of his demise. The burning question remains: What is their motive & who holds the key to Mr. Jude’s final moments?

The voice acting stars Jude Chukwuka as Chief Jude Macaulay, Onajite Dede as Mrs. Macaulay, Obiese Maduegbuna as Obi, Sharon Rotimi as Sharon, Kanyinsola Eros as Kanyin, and Iremide Adeoye as Mide.This is the first of its kind voice acting drama, Murder On Space X, which is scheduled to happen live on X (Twitter) space on the 7th of June by 7pm (WAT) .

Deafening Silence 
Deafening Silence, featuring renowned Nollywood actors Toni Tones, Bimbo Akintola, Chidi Mokeme, Daniel Etim-Effiong, and Femi Jacobs, tackles critical issues related to Sexual-Gender-Based Violence (SGBV). The film addresses themes such as sexual harassment, child abuse, and the crucial need to raise boys to respect women. Directed by Biodun Stephen, produced by Emem Isong and written by Tani Taylaur, the movie also stars Toni Tones and is backed by the EU-UN Spotlight Initiative and the United Nations Development Program.The film will be shown in the cinema from 7th of June

Deafening Silence aims to shed light on pervasive societal issues while promoting awareness and advocacy through its powerful storytelling and star-studded cast.

Muri and Ko 
Directed by Biodun Stephen, Muri & Ko is a collaboration between Inkblot Productions and Biodun stephen. The film follows Muri (Kunle Remi), a Lagos street hustler whose life takes a dramatic turn when he steals a car, unknowingly with a child inside. A desperate search ensues as the parents offer a bounty for their child’s return, and the police close in. Now, Muri faces a heart-wrenching choice: ensure the child’s safe return or face the consequences. the movie starring Kunle Remi, Bisola Aiyeola and Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori (Kiekie),Femi Jacobs, Buchi Franklin, Charles Okocha, Gloria Anozie-Young, and Fiyinfoluwa Asenuga is set to hit the cinemas on June 12th.

Bottom line 
Premiering on YouTube this June 14th at noon. This Ndani production is a comedy-drama centered around the lives of workers in a bustling media company called Bottom line Media. The series stars Bisola Aiyeola, Blessing Obasi, Akah Nnani, Mike Afolarin, Tope Olowoniyan, Ikechukwu Onunaku, and Susan Pwajok, among others.

Offshoot 

After the sudden demise of her boss, Modesire is appointed as Head of Investigation and Operations at the NDA. Directed by T. Steve Ayemy, written by Temitope Bolade and Diiche Enunwa, and starring Kehinde Bankole, Kelechi Udegbe, and Ibrahim Suleman, this gripping drama hits cinemas on June 14th.

Higher Crime 
 Higher Crime, produced by Aniebiet Francis and directed by Uduakobong Patrick, is set to premiere in cinemas across Nigeria, Ghana, and French-speaking West Africa on June 14, 2024.

This gripping drama follows the courageous journey of Tife, played by Enwongoabasi Ibom, a renowned blogger who uncovers the harrowing truth of a woman’s sexual assault, sparking a fierce legal battle against Jeffrey, a prominent philanthropist portrayed by Femi Branch.

The film boasts a stellar ensemble cast, featuring industry veterans like Femi Branch, Bimbo Akintola, and Keppy Ekpenyong, alongside rising stars Enwongoabasi Ibom and Folashade Abimbola.

Lakatabu 
An Odunlade Adekola Production, This compelling drama explores the themes of power, corruption, and enmity. The film, set for release in cinemas on June 21st, features a star-studded cast including Lateef Adedimeji, Ninolowo Bolanle, Femi Adebayo, Adunni Ade, Bro Shaggi, and many more. Don’t miss this gripping exploration of intense rivalries and moral dilemmas.

Oloture 

The much-awaited sequel, Oloture: The Journey, is set to premiere on June 28th on the streaming giant. Directed by Kenneth Gyang and produced by Ebonylife Studios, the series follows a young journalist who goes undercover as a sex worker in Nigeria to expose corruption. Throughout her perilous journey, she battles for her life as she forges a path to Europe. The star-studded cast includes Sharon Ooja, Omoni Oboli, Beverly Osu, Ikechukwu Onunaku, Stan Nze, Amarachukwu Ono, Bukola Oladipupo, Daniel Etim Effiong, and Patrick Doyle, promising a nail-biting experience for viewers.

Lekki Wives, The Reunion

Lekki Wives, the popular Nigerian television drama series written, produced, and directed by Blessing Effiong Egbe, is making a comeback. The series, which stars Rita Dominic, Katherine Obiang, Kiki Omeili, Joselyn Dumas, Keira Hewatch-Peace, Adaora Ukoh, and Chinonso Young, follows the lives of five women residing in Lekki, a prestigious area in Lagos known for its wealth, power, and opulent lifestyles.

It delves into their personal struggles behind their seemingly glamorous appearances, highlighting issues unique to life in Lekki. Blessing Effiong recently announced on her Instagram page that a reunion for the drama series is in the works, with the release date to be revealed in June.
