Tele, played by Mike Afolarin, is the observant type who notices much but says little. Zikora, portrayed by Genoveva Umeh, brings a viewpoint that finds appeal even amid disorder. Their lives become linked in unexpected ways.
Tele X Zikora is a young adult campus film written, directed, and produced by Adenike Adebayo-Esho. Presented by Imagine Media and Mayday Studios, the project targets a 2026 cinema release. Production included months of pre-production followed by a cross-continent shooting schedule that wrapped in mid-May 2026.
Adenike Adebayo-Esho developed the project during a period when moving forward with filmmaking felt uncertain. With backing from investors and a committed team, the production advanced through table reads, location scouting, and principal photography. The approach emphasizes relatable university experiences, relationships, personal growth, and the chaos of student life, drawing on a Nigerian storytelling tradition that has featured campus settings less frequently in recent years.
