While the original followed Dapo and Tani on the eve of their wedding, the sequel shifts focus to a new couple: Jide (Timini Egbuson) and Mary (Bolaji Ogunmola). Ajosepo grossed ₦257.25 million at the Nigerian box office, becoming the highest-grossing April release of 2024 and finishing among the year’s top films overall. It opened with ₦51.9 million in its first week, a figure the sequel will aim to surpass.
