NdaniTV has announced Extra Love, a ten-episode limited series that premieres on its YouTube channel on Thursday, July 17, 2026. The series follows Wudi, a frustrated extra determined to land her big break, and Azi, a fellow extra who has become her lover and emotional support as they both navigate the daily realities of the Nollywood ecosystem.
The story centers on the auditions, the constant hustle, and the frequent disappointments that come with trying to build a career as an actor. At its core, Extra Love is a light-hearted look at a romantic relationship developing amid these pressures, and the personal growth required to keep moving forward. It examines the quiet costs that come with holding onto dreams in a competitive environment.
Created and produced by Lani Aisida and directed by Nwamaka Chikezie, the series stars Toluwani George, Mallum Arik, Omosalewa Fafowora, Kanaga Eme Jnr, Bryan Okoye, and Obehi Aburime, along with other talents. Writer Owumi Ugbeye described the project as a love letter to Nollywood actors who have been through difficult periods and continued working. Writer Mary Nsikanabasi Uyoh noted that Nollywood is built on people who have faced repeated rejection and doubt yet continue to show up for opportunities.
The release will follow a weekly batch schedule:
July 17, 2026: Episodes 1–4 (premiere at 6PM)
July 24, 2026: Episodes 5–7
July 31, 2026: Episodes 8–10 (finale)
Extra Love continues NdaniTV’s focus on original Nigerian stories, this time turning its attention to the inner workings of the film industry itself. NdaniTV, powered by GTBank, remains a platform for youth-focused storytelling available to audiences in Nigeria and beyond through its YouTube channel.
