Aburo
The feature with themes of Love, hope and redemption is directed by Yemi Filmboy Morafa for Sterling Bank, FilmOne production and Dollywhales-Awujo Studios. Stephen Oluboyo is credited as the Producer.
Official synopsis reads: When Aburo, a street-smart boy with outstanding speed steals from Mide, a failed international athlete, his sprinting ability does not go unnoticed as Mide is determined to make him a star. Aburo now has to battle through the ties that bind him with his street gang and his great destiny.
Starring Efa Iwara, Toni Tones, Maleek of ikorodu bois, Yemi Cregx, Charles Inojie, Wunmi Toriola, Peju Ogunmola, Gbemi Akinlade, Buchi Kings and Darasimi Nadi.
Aburo Movie is set for a cinema debut on the 1st of May.
Postcards
Postcards is the second Nollywood-Bollywood collaboration from the makers of Namaste Wahala directed by Hamisha Daryani Ahuja. Starring Tobi Bakre, Sola Sobowale, RMD, Nancy Isime, Rajniesh Duggall, Rahama Sadau and many others.
The 6 part series delves into the story of several characters whose lives intersect in a series of life-changing events, a story of four Nigerians living in India who struggle with questions of identity and acceptance.
The film will be released on Netflix from 3rd May 2024.
Flaws
Directed by Uyoyou Adia, Flaws is a family drama film associated with coping with trauma, patience, justice and sacrifice. It delves into the story of an intruder who breaks into the home of a married couple, turning their world upside down. Seyi, the husband is faced with a decision to protect his family or to remain silent, at what point is taking the law into your hands justified?
Starring Kunle Remi, Diana Childs, Eso Dike, Biodun Stephen, Henry Arnold, Kiki Bakare, Chris Iheuwa, Chudi Davidson and Daniel Abua.
Flaws is coming to Prime Video on the 3rd of May 2024.
Home and Away
Starring Bimbo Ademoye, IK Ogbonna, Broda Shaggi, Sabinus, Sophie Alakija, Calabar Chic, Enorense Victory, Gregory Ojefua, and many others. Home and Away was directed by Stanfame Ajalaja and produced by Chisa Akani Ignatius.
Home and Away is coming to the Nigerian box office on the 10th of May 2024.
Funmi Ransome Kuti (FRK)
A fearless female leader sparks a revolution against colonialism and patriarchy in Nigeria, forever transforming the destiny of her nation. Starring Joke Silva, Kehinde Bankole, Ibrahim Suleiman, Jide Kosoko, Dele Odule, Adebayo Salami, and Keppy Ekpenyong.
Funmilayo Ransom Kuti Biopic is the story of Fela Anikulapo’s mother who many Nigerians know that she is the first female in Nigeria to drive a car. However stunning, many are not aware of her social impacts, and how she stood up and fought for the voices of women in her lifetime. This film showcases what she truly represents.
Funmilayo Ransom Kuti is set for cinema debut on 17th May 2024.
UNO Family
The cast includes Nollywood veterans Nkem Owoh and Jennifer Eliogu alongside Keezyto, Sophia Chisom, Tomi Ojo, Abayomi Alvin, Dj Capello, and Chimamanda Ukwueze. UNO delves into the linguistic richness of the eastern culture, including a blend of Igbo, pidgin English and Nigerian English.
Written and directed by Ebuka Njoku, the UNO Family heads for cinemas on the 17th of May.
Water and Garri
The drama delves into the story of Aisha (Savage), an ambitious fashion designer, as she returns to her native home after 10 years away in the U.S., following a family bereavement. At home, things have changed—violence has escalated, and tensions have been high. As she reconnects with family, old friends, and her past love, she must learn to live with her scars and confront the guilt she left behind.
Water and Garri is a co-production between Everything Savage, Unbound Studios, and JM Films, directed by Meji Alabi, produced by Jimi Adesanya, and written by Comfort Emmanuel, with music by Tiwa Savage.
Nigerian music sensation, Tiwa Savage, is set to make her debut in Nollywood with the film Water and Garri on Prime Video this 17th May 2024.
Crossroads
A campus torn by passion, violence and daring choices, one student’s pursuit of her dreams crosses with: A brutal gang leader and a determined protector.
Starring Deyemi Okanlawon, Adedimeji Lateef, Femi Adebayo, Bimbo Manuel, Adebayo Salami, Yvonne Jegede, Bukunmi Adeaga, Itele d’icon, Wunmi Toriola, Mo Bimpe, Boma, Rotimi Salami and many others.
Directed by Adebayo Tijani and produced by Aisha Lawal, CROSSROADS starts streaming exclusively on Prime on May 17th.

Kill Boro
Kill Boro delves into the harrowing story of Elijah, a young boy burdened by his father, Boro’s relentless brutality. Driven by desperation in the unforgiving streets of Azuama, Elijah seeks an unthinkable solution from a notorious gang leader.
The feature shot in port Harcourt city is written by Priye Diri and directed by Courage Obayuwana stars Ini Dima-Okojie, Philip Asaya, Greg ‘Teddy Bear’ Ojefua, Brutus Richard, Michael Dappa, Blessing Uzero, Kosisochukwu Ogboruche, Beloved Osagie, Hilda Dokubo and Yibo Koko.
Kill Boro is set for release on 30th May 2024.
Criminal
Directed by Dolapo Adigun and produced by Victoria Akujobi, Criminal is a story of a race against time, where every decision can make all the difference. Talk about pure CHAOS and VIOLENCE!
Starring Funlola Aofiyebi-Raimi and Uzor Arukwe, Gbubemi Ejeye, Obehi Aburime, Chuks Joseph, Segun Arinze, Obehi Aburime, Og Tega, and Bryan Okoye amongst many others.
Anthill studio’s Criminal is set for cinema debut on 31st May 2024.
Momiwa
Momiwa is a heartwarming family drama film produced in collaboration with Uddy Udoh and Shutterspeed Projects.
Directed by Biodun Stephen, the feature stars Blessing Jessica Obasi, Iyabo Ojo, Uzor Arukwe, Lilian Afegbai, Michael Akpujiha, Mc Lively and many others.
Momiwa is set for release on Prime Video in this month of May.
