Through strategic alliances with international networks, production houses, and distribution platforms, WEBEK Studios positions African storytelling at the forefront of global media. Its debut feature film, 168 Hours, blends authentic African narratives with world-class production values.

With over a decade of experience in film and television production, Esse Akwawa is a trailblazing media executive, producer, and director shaping the future of African storytelling.

As the former Head of Accelerate Studios, Esse produced acclaimed projects, including The Decolonisation of Africa, featuring former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo. Her impressive portfolio also includes All’s Fair in Love (Prime Video), The Order of Things (Netflix), Shadows, The Olive (Seasons 1 & 2), and Clinically Speaking.

Esse’s work reflects a deep commitment to authentic storytelling that engages both local and global audiences. Under her leadership, WEBEK Studios continues to push the boundaries of content creation, championing African stories and expanding its influence in the global entertainment industry.

Bizzle Osikoya: Music Executive, Film Enthusiast, and Co-Founder

Bizzle Osikoya is a seasoned Music Executive and Film Enthusiast with extensive experience in Digital Marketing and A&R in the Nigerian music industry.

With a passion for creative arts that spans over 15 years, Bizzle has been instrumental in spotlighting emerging talents from the Nigerian music scene.
Beyond music, Bizzle’s passion for storytelling and visual arts led him to co-found WEBEK Studios, where he channels his love for film into creating impactful visual content.

With years of experience in the entertainment industry, Bizzle is committed to sharing his knowledge and helping the next generation of talent thrive in music, film, and beyond.

Edith Nwekenta: Award-Winning Producer & Director

Edith Nwekenta is an award-winning Producer & Director in Film, TV, and commercials, working across the UK and Nigeria. With over 15 years of experience, Edith has worked at Channel 4, BBC, MTV Base, and is an alumna of the Identity School of Acting.

As Creative Director at WEBEK Studios, Edith drives the studio’s content strategy and creative direction, ensuring impactful storytelling that resonates globally.

Her credits include: Mum, Dad, Meet Sam (Netflix), Prey (award-winning short film), The Olive (Season 2, Accelerate TV), The Order of Things (Netflix), Shaping Us, The Screen Test (latest directorial work)
