This biographical film chronicles the early life of Michael Jackson, from his rise as the lead singer of the Jackson Five through his drive and family dynamics, particularly the influence of his father Joseph Jackson, to becoming one of the world’s biggest entertainers. Directed by Antoine Fuqua and written by John Logan, the cast is led by Jaafar Jackson as Michael Jackson (adult), Juliano Krue Valdi as young Michael, with supporting performances by Colman Domingo as Joseph Jackson, Nia Long as Katherine Jackson, and others, including Miles Teller. In its sixth weekend, it added ₦33.1 million, pushing its impressive cumulative gross to ₦691.5 million.
2. Ajosepo 2: The Gathering
Released on 28 May 2026, the sequel follows two families reuniting for another lavish Yoruba wedding two years after the events of the first film. Focus shifts to Jide (Timini Egbuson) and Mary (Bolaji Ogunmola) as they prepare to marry, while newlyweds Dapo and Tani navigate married life amid resurfacing family tensions, scandals, church politics, and romantic distractions. Directed by Kayode Kasum, written by Ife Olujuyigbe with contributions from Feyifunmi Oginni, and produced with involvement from Bolaji Ogunmola and others.
