What began as a dispute over clothing on Monday night quickly spiraled into one of the most intense moments of Big Brother Naija Season 11. Tram confronted Keivo, accusing him of taking his black shirt. Keivo pushed back firmly, insisting the shirt in question was his own and rejecting the label of thief. Words grew sharper. Tempers flared. Within moments, the argument turned physical as the two exchanged blows.
Fellow housemates rushed in to separate them. Big Brother’s Ninjas followed, intervening directly. In the chaos, Keivo allegedly choke-slammed or strangled two of the Ninjas. In a rare sequence for the franchise, Keivo was physically removed from the main house during or immediately after the clash, the first time a housemate had been taken out that way while the confrontation was still fresh.
Big Brother’s Verdict
On Tuesday, after reviewing the footage, Big Brother addressed the remaining housemates. He ruled that Keivo was the primary perpetrator of the physical violence and announced his immediate disqualification. The decision was final. Keivo’s journey in the Show Ya Sef house ended abruptly, just days before the season’s finale. He was already out of the main house when the announcement came.
His name and profile were removed from the finalists list on the official BBNaija website. With the exit comes the loss of any chance at the ₦160 million grand prize.
Before the announcement, fans had already noticed his absence from the voting list and were asking whether it was linked to the fight.
Fans React, and a GoFundMe Follows
The decision divided viewers. Some fans pointed out that Tram appeared to face no equivalent consequence, and that detail fuelled considerable anger. Others focused on Keivo’s actions.
Almost as soon as the news broke, Keivo’s supporters mobilized. They launched a GoFundMe campaign to stand by him. What started with a modest Canadian dollar $10 goal climbed past $1,000 in donations. The organizers framed the effort as support for a young man they described as a hard worker and goal-getter who, like anyone, can make mistakes. Their message was clear: the support remains, and even if he falls, they rise with him.
Two Housemates Disqualified on the Same Day
Disqualifications have always carried weight on Big Brother Naija, yet one season stands out for its double exit. Season 3: Double Wahala in 2018 remains the only previous edition with two disqualifications occurring on the same day. On February 18, 2018, Khloe and K-Brule were both removed after accumulating three strikes each.
That season featured housemates competing in pairs, so strikes and punishments applied to the pair. Earlier issues included K-Brule’s risky actions, such as jumping from a height, and Khloe’s use of strong abusive language. The final trigger came after K-Brule attempted to kiss another housemate, Leo. Khloe confronted him and used derogatory language about his mother. The exchange turned physical when K-Brule tried to hit her and was restrained. Both received their third strikes and were disqualified together. They left through the back entrance, the standard route for such exits, and forfeited any prizes. Khloe later re-entered the house as an individual housemate before eventually being evicted.
Season 11 Joins the Short List
Show Ya Sef has now recorded two disqualifications of its own. First came Nomy (Whitney Chukwu). She was removed after repeatedly defying Big Brother’s instructions. The final breach occurred while she served as the week’s benchwarmer following a weak performance in a Head of House challenge. Required to stay with a designated bench and wear the official vest, she abandoned both. This followed an earlier strike and final warning for similar non-compliance. Big Brother revoked her privilege to participate and gave her 30 minutes to gather her belongings and leave.
Keivo’s exit makes him the second. Two different paths, one rooted in sustained defiance of rules and punishments, the other in a physical confrontation, yet both ending the same way.
Finale on the Horizon
The timing adds another layer. Keivo’s disqualification arrives in the final stretch of the season. With Keivo out, nine finalists are left in the race for the ₦160 million grand prize: Aikou, Barry, Bluethopia, Flora, Oyin, Ricky, Sheba, Temi Nkem and Tram. Voting is still open ahead of the October 4 finale, and each day in the house now carries more weight than the last.
