After weeks inside Biggie’s house, Gerard finally sits to explain what the cameras only partially captured.

Gerard arrived expecting constant pressure and cameras in every face. What he found instead was something closer to a regular home that happened to have security cameras. He described moments when the housemates simply forgot they were on a show until Big Brother’s voice pulled them back. That comfort, he said, shaped how he moved.
His original plan was straightforward. He wanted to display the skills he already carried: acting, script writing, poetry and the way he speaks. The season’s “Show Ya Sef” tagline, which he only heard on the first day, matched the intention he had already set. To a large extent, he feels he followed through on that plan and exhausted the strategy he brought in.
Where the Wild Card Appeared
The version of himself he pictured before entering did not fully match the version that emerged once the house’s unpredictability took hold. Housemates arrived with their own rhythms, and the environment kept shifting. Gerard pointed to one wager task as a clear example. What was meant to be an art exhibition became a full drama piece that ended with an exhibition. Those creative turns, he said, were where the less predictable side of him showed itself. It never became the dominant pattern, yet it remained part of the record.
The Quiet Battle With Comparison
Overthinking, when it came, grew from watching other people rather than from second-guessing every move. He found himself measuring whether he needed to mirror certain housemates in order to justify remaining in the house. The real tension, he explained, was between staying recognisable to himself and adjusting for the camera. That internal argument ran quietly through much of his stay.
The Bonds that Mattered
Two names stood out when he spoke about genuine connection. Araga struck him as one of the most authentic people in the house. Gerard likes him as a person and hopes the friendship continues once both are outside. With Bluethopia, the feeling was different: curiosity about where a friendship might have gone before the council dynamics altered the atmosphere. Both share roots in Kaduna, and Gerard looks forward to picking up the thread later, ideally after she reaches the later stages of the competition.
On Kamsy
Since leaving the house, Gerard has focused on catching up with his own life, family and friends. He has not yet contacted any of the housemates. He intends to reach out to everyone, including Kamsy, so that the two of them can arrive at a clearer understanding and decide what a continued friendship might look like. As for anything romantic, he was direct: the house was the house. Now that both are outside, that question remains open. No one knows.
The Immunity He Chased and the Entertainment He Offered
Gerard admitted he pursued immunity with real hunger. He wanted the simple relief of not having to think about Sunday. Life inside the house was arranged otherwise. On the question of presence and the perception that he offered little, he pointed to the wager presentations. From the first week through the fifth, he treated those tasks as his main contribution, driving the creative work while others supplied different kinds of moments. He does not regret the choice. He only wishes the audience recognised that a house needs different personalities operating at the same time.
What He Would Change and Who He Is Watching
Looking back, Gerard accepts that he was sometimes too selective about sharing opinions. Selectivity has its place, yet his version of it edged toward silence. If he returned, he would speak more freely. He also noted that a connection with Sheba had begun to take shape before his exit. Among those still inside, he sees Tram as particularly well suited to the environment. Tram, he said, operates naturally in that space and holds a genuine chance of going far.
