The Story⚡
West African film distribution and production company, FilmOne is undergoing intense internal politics
.
Based on news reaching us, the co-founders of the company namely Moses Babatope and Kene Okuwuosa are going head to head in a clash of major disagreements and fight to oust each other leadership
.
According to a source, Film Executive Moses Babatope was harbouring and sliding beneficial opportunities meant for FilmOne to his private ventures and that the company’s future is not on solid positioning ground in his command
.
According to another source familiar with the matter, Kene Okuwosa is rather insecure about his Co-CEO’s popularity and relationship with talents, clients and the industry at large, hence the need to eliminate internal competition to become the sole mega power heading the most popular distribution entertainment company founded 12 years ago
.
No official statement from the company or both executives has been made.
.
It remains unclear if Moses Babatope, pained by this backstab move will raid the company clients and relocate them to a new venture or will rather stay and battle it out against his best friend turned?
.
.
It is also not public the final decisions of the board members as of this time as regards which co-founder they will back in this power tussle and what disengagement caveats will be made
.
.
SHOCK newsroom awaits confirmation on both sides and final disclosures
.
NB: Kene Okuwuosa is currently Group Chief Executive Officer of Filmhouse Cinemas, Whilst Moses Babatope is Managing Director of FilmOne Entertainment
