In one motion, what viewers had been watching as a developing connection turned into something far more complicated. The revelation didn’t just derail the storyline with Sheba; it forced a reassessment of Ricky’s behaviour throughout the season up to that point, measured against a detail about his life outside the house that he’d kept to himself.
