The Story⚡
Abimbola Craig has worn a lot of hats in Nigerian entertainment: actress, producer, development executive, but “showrunner” hasn’t been one of them. Until now.

Tell Me More
The filmmaker best known for playing Tiwalade in NdaniTV’s Skinny Girl in Transit is stepping behind her own format for the first time with Dumb It Down: The Clarity Lab, an eight-episode interview show from newly launched Lagos production company Atlas777Media. It’s her first project built and hosted entirely on her own terms, after a career that has moved steadily from acting into production, brand strategy and content development, including helping conceptualise BluuvTV, FirstBank’s digital content platform, back in 2022.
Dumb It Down marks a deliberate change of position. Instead of working inside existing formats, Craig has built one of her own. The structure is straightforward: one guest, one industry, one extended conversation free of unnecessary jargon. The aim is not simplification for its own sake, but clarity that still respects the complexity of the work being discussed.
Season One Guests
Ibidunni Damilola, filmmaker and storyteller, founder and Creative Director of Ibidunni Damilola Studios
StyleInfidel (Tosin Ogundadegbe), fashion stylist and creative consultant
Bukie Akinmade (TheKitchenMuse), food content creator and founder of Kitchen of Muse
Funke Bucknor-Obruthe, founder and CEO of Zapphaire Events
Bukola Bankole, partner at TNP leading the firm’s Private Equity and Corporate Finance practice
Ife Durosinmi-Etti, founder and CEO of Herconomy
Toyosi Adeyemo, founder of The Plush Apartments, The Plush Real Estate and more
Dimeji Timothy, country manager at inDrive Nigeria

For Craig, the appeal isn’t the résumés her guests bring; it’s the decisions behind them. “I wanted us to go beyond the job titles and success stories, to understand their journeys, the decisions they made, the challenges they faced, and the thinking behind what they’ve built,” she says. She’s especially interested in what younger viewers take from it: proof, she hopes, that these paths aren’t as far off as they seem.
The series draws on Craig’s own background, which began in law before shifting into film, television and media. That earlier training, combined with years of storytelling and content development, informs the way she approaches each conversation: attentive to narrative while remaining focused on substance.
Atlas777Media partner Eseoghene Oyibo frames the show’s mission as not just simplifying ideas, but making them legible. “We want to take the things that seem complicated from the outside, ask the questions people are often too afraid or too busy to ask,” Oyibo says, “while still respecting the complexity behind it.”
Premiere Details
Dumb It Down: The Clarity Lab begins on 28 August 2026 on YouTube and Spotify, with new episodes released every Friday at 6 pm.
In Summary
The first episode of Dumb It Down: The Clarity Lab is already scheduled. What remains is the work of listening as eight people open the doors to the industries they know best, and as Craig steadies the chair she has chosen to occupy. The conversations start today.
