The Four of Us is a telenovela produced by Tshedza Pictures, marking the company’s first project for e.tv. It replaces the long-running Scandal! in the prime 20:00 weekday slot. Created by Phathutshedzo Makwarela and Gwydion Beynon, the series explores family dynamics through power struggles, ambition, romance, betrayal, and personal sacrifice within the Dhlomo family and its interactions with rivals.

The story centres on the Dhlomo family, where deep-rooted tensions and competing visions for the family’s future threaten to fracture their influence. Sindi Dlathu stars as Busani Dhlomo, the eldest sibling who has dedicated her life to upholding the family legacy with discipline and personal sacrifice. Her authority faces direct challenge from her brother Bobbi Dhlomo, played by Sdumo Mtshali, who feels he has lived too long in her shadow and is ready to assert himself as the family leader.

Thembinkosi Mthembu portrays Banzi Dhlomo, the overlooked middle sibling seeking validation within the family. Kealeboga Masango plays the youngest sibling, navigating issues of identity and grief. Veteran actors Dumisani Dlamini (as Papi) and Rami Chuene (as Vera) appear as members of a rival family whose own ambitions and actions complicate the Dhlomos’ world. Hope Mbhele leads a parallel storyline as Ndumi Nhlapho, a young woman working to build opportunities for her family amid personal difficulties.

Additional cast members include Sibongile Nojila, Seipati Mahamu, Lebohang Lephatsoane, Nthabiseng Kgosana as Bassie, and others such as Nombulelo Letsosa, Quinton Madlala, and Tebogo Malapane. The series is filmed in English, Zulu, and Pedi, with episodes running approximately 22–24 minutes.

In Summary

The Four of Us premieres on Monday, 29 June 2026, at 20:00 on e.tv as part of the channel’s new primetime lineup. It will air weekdays in the established 8pm slot, making it accessible to South African audiences via free-to-air television.
