A Lagos Love Story is a Nollywood romantic comedy that unfolds during Lagos’ Art and Culture week, where Promise Quest, an aspiring event planner, battles to save her family home from foreclosure. Assigned to manage King Kator, a headstrong Afrobeat superstar, Promise navigates a fiery romance amid his bold antics. Her free-spirited sister, Favor, adds chaos, chasing the allure of Lagos’ rich and famous.
Directed by Naz Onuzo, who co-wrote the script with Ozzy Etomi, the film features a dynamic cast: Jemima Osunde, Susan Pwajok, Mike Afolarin, Uche Montana, Kalu Ikeagwu, Chimezie Imo, IK Osakioduwa, Linda Ejiofor, Uti Nwachukwu, Oshodi-Glover Olakunle, Lanre Da Silva, Mailya Micheal, Veeiye, Cassandra Chiamaka Onyeyili, Itele, Juliet Dunu, Uncle Bubu, Shamsudeen Garuba, and Dayo Adeoye.
Produced by Inkblot Productions, with executive producers Naz Onuzo, Zulu Oyibo, and Damola Ademola, the title began streaming on Netflix on April 11, 2025, and is now on Amazon Prime in the US and UK, less than a month after the Netflix debut.
