Google releases data for the most searched TV shows of the year, of which the top ten are stories about the ghetto, Korean dramas and cross-country reality TV show. 

Top 10: King the Land

King the Land is a romantic drama South Korean TV series directed by Im Hyun-Wook, starring Lee Jun-Ho, and Im Yoon-ah.

Amid a tense inheritance fight, a charming heir Gu Won from the Chaebol family clashes with his hardworking employee who’s known for his irresistible smile, which he cannot stand.

The supporting cast includes Go Won Hee, Kim Jae-Won, Kim Ga-eun, Anupam Tripathi, Ahn Se-ha, Nam Gi-Ae, Ahn Woo-yeon, Kim Young-ok, Choi Tae-Hwan and Kang Ki-doong.

Alchemy of Souls is a South Korean drama series which comprises 30 episodes in its first season. The series was written by Jeong-eun Hong and Hong Mi Ran.

Alchemy of Soul was released on the Netflix streaming platform on 18th June 2022.

Top 1: Shanty Town

Directed by Dimeji Ajibola, Shanty Town is a Nigerian TV series which tells the story of a group of courtesans who attempt to escape the grasp of a notorious Kingpin, Scar, but political corruption and blood ties make the escape mission a nearly impossible goal.
