Trino Motion Pictures, a leading name in film production and distribution, has partnered with the Nigerian International Film Summit (NIFS) to launch the International Sales & Distribution Executives (ISDE) Program. An initiative set to shape the future of international film and television sales and distribution by equipping young professionals with the skills and knowledge required to excel in this dynamic industry.

The ISDE Program is part of NIFS Industry Talent Development and Capacity Building initiatives. It is a structured three-month hybrid residency and mentorship program designed to provide participants with real-world insights, practical experience, and a strategic understanding of the
global film and television market.

With the Nigerian film industry experiencing rapid growth and increased global recognition, there is an urgent need for professionals who can navigate the complexities of international sales, licensing, and distribution. The ISDE Program addresses this need by training the next generation of film industry leaders to market and distribute African content worldwide successfully.

Who Can Apply?

The ISDE Program is designed for young professionals passionate about international film and TV content sales and distribution. It is ideal for:

Film and TV business professionals looking to specialize in international sales.
Content creators seeking to understand distribution strategies. Media executives interested in licensing, aggregation, and sales of film and television content.

Program Structure: A three-month hybrid residency and mentorship program, featuring online and in-person sessions.

A Masterclass as part of NIFS Lagos 2025. Exposure to international sales strategies, licensing models, and film festival distribution techniques. Training in negotiation and deal-making for complex licensing agreements. Twelve successful participants will secure a six-month internship with a partner international sales and distribution company, providing them with hands-on experience and career-defining industry connections.

Participants of the ISDE Program will: Gain expertise in international film and TV content sales and licensing strategies. Learn how to maximize revenue opportunities through effective sales and distribution. Understand how to secure partnerships for co-productions and international markets.

Develop skills to pitch and distribute films at major global film festivals.
Master negotiation strategies to close high-value licensing and distribution deals.

Application Criteria

To qualify, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Be registered for NIFS Lagos with an Executive Gold Badge.
Have at least two years of active experience in a film or TV business/organization.
Provide accessible links to their CV and a motivation letter.
Be available for a three-month hybrid program (virtual and in-person in Lagos, Nigeria).
