Tomi Folowosele and Nwani Orire Land in Jeddah as Till Death Do Us Part Earns Red Sea Souk Selection

The Story⚡

Till Death Do Us Part has been officially selected for the Red Sea Souk Project Market at the 2025 Red Sea International Film Festival.

Tell Me More

The journey to this moment began months ago when the project was accepted into the highly competitive Red Sea Series Lab, run in partnership with Film Independent. Alongside talented creators from Africa, the Arab world, and Asia, Tomi Folowosele and Nwani Orire spent intensive months in story consultations, mentorship sessions, and creative workshops that sharpened their vision and prepared the series for the global stage.

Till Death Do Us Part is a supernatural drama about a grieving woman who breaks an ancient rule to see her dead husband one last time—only to tear open the veil between life and death and awaken something that now intends to collect what is owed.

The Red Sea Souk is the industry heartbeat of the festival. Over five days in the historic Al Balad district, filmmakers, producers, sales agents, and distributors meet for panels, workshops, masterclasses, and—one of the most coveted opportunities—project market presentations. Being selected means Tomi and Nwani will pitch their series directly to decision-makers from around the world.

This milestone builds on the momentum the pair created with Tales of Ramadan, the heartfelt drama that became a fan favorite, earned critical praise for its emotional depth and modern take on tradition, and was quickly renewed for a second season (now completed and in post-production). Tomi returns as Head Writer for Season 2, while Nwani serves as Showrunner and Director—a partnership that keeps delivering.

In Summary

Till Death Do Us Part is heading to market at one of the most respected platforms in the region, and Tomi Folowosele and Nwani Orire are putting authentic Nigerian stories in front of the international industry.
