Prime Video adds thirteen titles in December 2025, mixing new originals with films that have finished their cinema runs, and a few series. Here is a list of these movies:

The Merchants of Joy 

In New York City, five immigrant families operate sidewalk Christmas tree stands as a generational tradition, facing threats from gentrification and economic pressures while navigating cultural clashes and community bonds during the holiday rush, narrated by Awkwafina with real-life vendors including the Rodriguez family patriarch and Nguyen siblings as themselves. Directed and produced by Celia Aniskovich, written by Owen Long, executive produced by Morgan Neville under Drucker + Bar-Kar Pictures, edited by Jane Rizzo. It is now showing on Prime Video.

Oh. What. Fun. 

Claire Clauster (Michelle Pfeiffer), an overworked mother, plans a perfect Christmas but ends up forgotten and stranded during her family’s holiday outing, prompting a solo cross-country adventure to rediscover joy amid chaos, with Felicity Jones, Chloë Grace Moretz, Denis Leary, Dominic Sessa, Danielle Brooks, Devery Jacobs, Havana Rose Liu, Maude Apatow, Jason Schwartzman, Eva Longoria, and Joan Chen. Directed by Michael Showalter, written by Chandler Baker and Showalter, produced by Jane Rosenthal, Berry Welsh, Showalter, Jordana Mollick, and Kate Churchill under ShivHans Pictures. It will be released on Prime Video on December 3.

Colour Me True 

Celebrated reality TV star Ivie (Shalewa Ashafa) flees to her Lagos orphanage after a scandal exposes her hidden past, confronting suppressed memories of abandonment and identity through raw artwork that bridges personal pain with cultural heritage, with Bucci Franklin as mentor, Eseosa Bernard in family support, Nnamdi Agbo as colleague, and Gerard Adebija as director. Directed and written by Toluwani Obayan Osibe, produced by Ronke Adeyemi under EbonyLife Studios with Prime Video’s First Features Project, cinematography by Gideon Chukwu, score by Ava Momoh, it will be released on Prime Video on December 4, 2025.

Project Assault

The story unfolds over one intense night inside a besieged police station: on his final shift as Divisional Police Officer, CSP Wale Savage faces a brutal assault led by the ruthless gang leader Shina, who wants revenge for his brother’s death. With officers dead or wounded, ammunition running out, and chaos spreading, Savage must decide whether to uphold the law alone or form an uneasy alliance with the prisoners in the cells to survive until dawn. The main cast features Ademola Adedoyin, Yemi Blaq, Kunle Coker, Wale Adebayo, and Omololu Sodiya, with the film produced by Dangerman Studios and Prompt-Haus.

Relay 

Fixer Tom (Riz Ahmed) brokers payoffs between corrupt corporations and whistleblowers but breaks his rules when client Sarah (Lily James) needs protection to survive, drawing in Dawson (Sam Worthington) and others amid shifting alliances and threats. The cast includes Willa Fitzgerald as Rosetti, Jared Abrahamson, Pun Bandhu, Eisa Davis, Matt Maher, Seth Barrish, Victor Garber, Reed Northrup, and Aaron Roman Weiner. Directed by David Mackenzie, written by Justin Piasecki, produced by Basil Iwanyk, Gillian Berrie, and Teddy Schwarzman, with cinematography by Giles Nuttgens, it streams on Prime Video on December 6, 2025.

Surely Tomorrow S1 

Former lovers Lee Gyeong-do (Park Seo-joon) and Seo Ji-woo (Won Ji-an) break up twice in their twenties before reuniting when Gyeong-do, now a journalist, reports an affair scandal involving Ji-woo as the wife, sparking a bittersweet romance amid unresolved emotions, with Lee El, Lee Joo Young, Kang Ki-doong, Jo Min-kook, Han Eun-seong, Kang Mal-geum, and Kim Mi-kyun. Directed by Lim Hyun-ook, written by Yu Young-ah, and produced by SLL under Story Forest and Studios IN, the 12-episode season premieres on Prime Video on December 6, 2025, with weekly episodes.

Merv 

Recently separated Anna (Zooey Deschanel) and Russ (Charlie Cox) co-parent their depressed golden retriever Merv on a Florida road trip filled with awkward encounters and resurfacing emotions that force confrontation with their past, with Fred Armisen as quirky veterinarian, Aimee Lou Wood as Anna’s best friend, Ellyn Jameson, Patricia Heaton, David Hunt, Chris Redd, Jasmine Mathews, Victoria Blade, Wynn Everett, Jason Burkey, Joey Slotnick, Jordan Cox. Directed by Jessica Swale, written by Dane Clark and Linsey Stewart, produced by Matthew Baer and Roma Downey, with music by Tom Howe, it will be released on Prime Video on December 10, 2025.

Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking S2 

Hosts James and Oliver Phelps challenge eight pairs of bakers, sorted into Hogwarts houses, to create spellbinding edible showpieces inspired by Harry Potter artefacts, creatures, and Goblet of Fire themes on film sets, judged by Carla Hall and Jozef Youssef with guest actors like Afshan Azad sharing insights, competing for the Wizards of Baking Cup. Produced by Robin Ashbrook under Food Network, the six-episode season premieres on Prime Video on December 11, 2025.

Tell Me Softly (Dímelo Bajito) 

Kamila Hamilton (Alícia Falcó) faces upheaval when the Di Bianco brothers—Thiago (Fernando Lindez), who gave her first kiss, and protector Taylor (Diego Vidales)—return after seven years, threatening her constructed life with old affections and a love triangle, with Celia Freijeiro as Chiara, Patricia Vico as Anne, Andrés Velencoso as Tino, Eve Ryan as Cata, and Fernando Nagore as Jules. The Salt Path 

Raynor (Gillian Anderson) and Moth (Jason Isaacs) lose their home and face Moth’s terminal illness diagnosis, embarking on a 630-mile coastal trek along England’s South West Coast Path to reconnect with nature and each other amid hardship, with James Lance, Hermione Norris, Rebecca Ineson, Denis Gifford, and Jonathan Pryce.

Directed by Ryûichi Hiroki, based on Kanae Minato’s novel, produced by Amazon MGM Studios, the five-episode miniseries drops all at once on Prime Video on December 18, 2025.

Wonka 

Young Willy Wonka (Timothée Chalamet) arrives in a city controlled by a chocolate cartel, teaming with orphan Noodle (Calah Lane) to invent magical confections and outwit Mrs Scrubbit (Olivia Colman) and Slugworth (Paterson Joseph) while reclaiming his dreams, with Keegan-Michael Key as Chief of Police, Hugh Grant as Oompa Loompa Lofty, Sally Hawkins as Wonka’s mother, Rowan Atkinson as Father Julius, Jim Carter as Abacus Crunch, Matt Lucas as Prodnose, Mathew Baynton as Fickelgruber, and Natasha Rothwell as Olivia.

Hurry Up Tomorrow 

Insomniac musician Abel (The Weeknd) encounters mysterious stranger Anima (Jenna Ortega), pulling him into an odyssey that unravels his existence amid psychological descent, with Barry Keoghan as Lee, Riley Keough, Paul L. Davis as Lavi, and David Moskowitz as a concert fan. Directed and edited by Trey Edward Shults, written by Shults, Tesfaye, and Reza Fahim, produced by Kevin Turen, Harrison Kreiss, Tesfaye, and Fahim, with cinematography by Chayse Irvin, music by Daniel Lopatin, it streams on Prime Video on December 21, 2025.
