Nigerian producer Don Paul Umana, aka, Don Possibility has teamed with Ola Cardoso to make a new feature currently in principal photography on location, Lagos Nigeria.

 “My Pikin Dey Lagos” is a coming-of-age story that follows Matthew, a young man who leaves his ailing mother to chase a brighter future in Lagos, faces misfortune and betrayal, but ultimately finds redemption, love, and a new beginning through a stroke of luck.

In the upcoming film ‘My Pikin Dey Lagos’, Levi Chikere takes on the lead role of Matthew, supported by a talented ensemble cast including Gideon Okeke, Tina Mba, Chidi Mokeme, Teniola Aladese, and Gbubemi Ejeye.

The title is written by Sonia Nwosu, and produced under Nnemeh Studios.

Paul Umana, a prolific actor and filmmaker, aims to capture life’s absurdities through the cinematic lens. He’s supervised notable films like “Hello, Rain” and “Juju Stories,” helmed by CJ Obasi.

Paul managed locations for films such as “Gangs of Lagos,” “Shanty Town,” “Coming from Insanity,” “Sugar Rush.” “Brotherhood,” and more. In 2020, he produced “Rehearsal,” directed by Michael Omonua, premiering at the Berlinale Film Festival and receiving acclaim across 20+ film festivals.

Notably, it secured the Best Film award at the Kurzfilmtage Festival in Switzerland. He recently co-produced the Netflix mini-series “Naija Big Fairytale Wedding” and was an Associate Producer on Showmax’s “Slumking and Netflix’s Tokunbo. Paul’s dedication lies in creating impactful, creative, and fulfilling work within the film industry.
