Queen Lateefah
It follows a successful businessman who falls deeply in love with the mysterious and affluent Lateefah, only to uncover layers of deceit and secrets from her past, blending romance, comedy, and high-stakes drama and starring Wunmi Toriola, Kunle Remi, Femi Adebayo, Nancy Isime, and Broda Shaggi.
It is directed by Adeoluwa Owu and written by Anthony Kehinde Joseph, produced by Wunmi Toriola and Judith Audu. Now showing on Kava, as a streaming debut following its blockbuster 2024 theatrical run.
3 Cold Dishes
Directed by Oluseyi Asurf and Apolline Traoré, the story centers on three women—Esosa, Fatouma, and Giselle—who, after being trafficked as teenagers, reunite after 17 years to exact cold justice on the men who shattered their lives. Spanning Nigeria, Benin, Côte d’Ivoire, and Mauritania, the multilingual narrative delves into survival, vengeance, and moral gray areas.
The cast boasts Osas Ighodaro, Wale Ojo, Ruby Akubueze, Femi Jacobs, Fat Touré, Maud Guérand, Amelie Mbaye, Taiwo Adeyemi, Mentor Ba, Eso Dike, Bimbo Akintola, Blessing Obasi, Bambadjan Bama, Greg Ojefua, Anouble Didier, Brutus Richards, Kobina Amissah-Sam, and Brenda Wairimu. The movie was executive-produced by Burna Boy and Bose Ogulu under Spaceship Films, with co-production by Osas Ighodaro. Now showing in cinemas nationwide.
Summer Rain
This movie traces the decade-spanning saga of childhood sweethearts Murewa and Adim. Their young love fractures under misunderstandings and life’s relentless trials, but a fateful reunion years later reignites passion while confronting themes of loss, redemption, and growth. Bolaji Ogunmola shines as Murewa Abe, with Daniel Etim Effiong as Adimchi Amadi, supported by Genoveva Umeh and Lateef Adedimeji.
It was directed by Adenike Adebayo-Esho and produced by Bolaji Ogunmola under The Ogunmola Company alongside Imagine Media. Now showing on Kava.
Son of Iron
Set against contemporary Nigeria, this movie chronicles Kunle’s arduous path, a young man hardened by adversity and haunted by visions of his late grandfather that awaken a profound spiritual awakening. As he navigates love, profound loss, self-discovery, and the quest for redemption, Kunle grapples with familial obligations and internal turmoil across the dual realms of the physical and the ethereal.
The ensemble features Sola Sobowale, Raph Niyi, Biola Adebayo, Jide Kosoko, Jude Chukwuka, Tina Mba, and Mr Macaroni. It is directed by Toka McBarnett and Tunde Olaoye, produced by Proscenium Media. Now showing in cinemas nationwide.
Son of the Soil
This movie follows Zion Ladejo, a tormented ex-Nigerian Special Ops paratrooper exiled after a catastrophic mission. His sister’s abrupt murder yanks him back into a vortex of brutality, exposing a deadly drug syndicate linked to his buried history. Amid urban grit and rural shadows, it probes duty, retribution, and the scars of war.
Razaaq Adoti commands the lead as Zion, with Iretiola Doyle, Patience Ozokwor, Taye Arimoro, Philip Asaya, Sharon Rotimi, Sunshine Rosman, Damilola Ogunsi, and Emeka Golden rounding out the cast. The movie was directed by Chee Keong Cheung and written by Razaaq Adoti and Cheung himself. Produced by Wingonia Ikpi, Cheung, Adoti, Andreas Roald, and Ioanna Karavela. It is coming to the big screens on November 21.
Safari
This movie follows Nkiru Farouk, a jaded wife of a Nigerian senator, seeking solace on a Kenyan safari. Her chance encounter with local guide Joe Chiama sparks a connection, but peril ensues as he’s implicated in a sprawling conspiracy, thrusting her into a web of intrigue against stunning savanna vistas. Themes of flight and fallout dominate.
The casts include Osas Ighodaro, Emmanuel Mugo, Ali Nuhu, Jide Kene, Ken Ambani, and Daniel Lee Hird. It was written by Tunde Babalola, produced by Obi Emelonye, and co-produced by Reuben Odanga. Out in cinemas on November 21.
Stitches
Shirley Frimpong-Manso makes her Nollywood directorial debut with this drama tracking Boma, a talented fashion designer from humble roots who, after a personal tragedy, steps into Lagos’ competitive elite circles. Estranged from her family, she balances ambition and romance in a world of glamour and unforgiving pressures, all while stitching together her fractured life.
Dakore Akande leads as Boma, joined by Tomi Ojo, Jemima Osunde, Chimezie Imo, Martha Ehinome, Detola Jones, Ariyike Dorcas, Nasboi, Adaobi Dibor, Obinna Okenwa, and Adaobi Etuwoke. Writers Uche Ateli, Frimpong-Manso, and Thecla Uzozie craft a script that premiered at TIFF 2025, produced by BRS Studios. It’s set for release at the cinemas on November 28.
Ajosepo
Directed by Kayode Kasum and produced by Feyifunmi Oginni, this rom-com spotlights Dapo and Tani’s wedding prep derailed by Dapo’s fractious clan, unspooling buried grudges, sibling spats, and uproarious mayhem that tests their union while unpacking familial fractures. Casts include Mike Afolarin, Tomike Adeoye, Mercy Aigbe, Muyiwa Ademola, Bisola Aiyeola, Timini Egbuson, Ronke Oshodi-Oke, Bolaji Ogunmola, Yemi Solade, Lizzy Jay, and Jide Kosoko.
Laraba And Balarabe
Filmmaker Fatimah Binta Gimsay has officially announced her latest project, a tender, introspective mini film starring Susan Pwajok and Mallum Arik. The film explores the quiet complexities of love, timing, and second chances. After a missed flight, two exes reconnect for a single, mundane day that gently
reopens old wounds, sparks quiet moments of joy, and asks whether love deserves a second chance.
Written, directed, and produced by Fatimah Binta Gimsay, the film marks another creative collaboration for the award-winning storyteller. Cinematography is helmed by Barnabas Emordi, whose visual sensibilities bring depth and warmth to the film’s intimate narrative. The project also reunites Gimsay with Susan Ganchung Pwajok, who returns as Executive Producer, following their successful partnership on Lowkey Adults, which is streaming on
YouTube. Laraba And Balarabe will be streaming on YouTube on November 22.
