With Difficulty Comes Ease directed by Korede Azeez explores the strength, friendship, and indomitable human spirit amidst religious and cultural expectations, and personal trials. The movie takes us on the compelling journey of Zainab, an Igbo-Ebira woman navigating the complexities of loss, tradition, and new beginnings.
Produced by Sheriff Akinola Bakare, the multilingual drama stars Uzoamaka Aniunoh, Caleb Richards, Ummi Baba-Ahmed, and Michelle Dede.
With Difficulty Comes Ease premieres on Prime Video on the 1st of August 2024.
The Betrayed
Zulumoke Oyibo directed the movie The Betrayed featuring Uche Montana, Gabriel Afolayan, Jemima Osunde, Ibrahim Suleiman, Adunni Ade, Vine Olugu and Stephanie Zibili.

The Betrayed will be available in Nigerian cinemas from the cinemas on the cinemas on 2nd of August.
Criminal – Prime Video
Criminal was written by Niyi Akinmolayan and directed by Dolapo Adigun. Starring Nollywood actors like Funlola Aofiyebi, Uzor Arukwe, Segun Arinze, Gbubemi Ejeye, Ibehi Aburime and Miriam Peters.
Criminal follows a day in the lives of an ex-felon and his gang who hold hostage a doctor and her team in a bid to treat the fatal gunshot wound of his dying brother. Minutes turn into hours as Dr Amara must race against time to resolve the escalating situation or everyone dies.
The movie had its cinema debut on the 31st of May 2024. However, Criminal heads to Prime Video on the 2nd of August.
Move Like A Boss
Move Like A Boss was directed by Ekene Son Mekwunye, and Starring Nancy Isime, Yemi Solade, Jaiye Kuti, Moyo Lawal, Dele Odule, Tope Olowoniyan, Denrele Edun, IK Ogbonna, MC Lively, Yinka Quadri and many others.
This tells the story of Joko Adeyanju, Nasty Nike’s(Donkey Curse) cousin who takes the lead role where she must perform the greatest “abracadabra” to try and out-smart her father’s greedy siblings as they attempt to steal his multi-billion business. It’s not enough to think like a man…Joko must MOVE LIKE A BOSS.
Move Like A Boss is set to hit the cinemas on 4th August.
CHAINS- No Longer A Slave
A Gospel Music Artist sets out on a journey to balance his Music Ministry and the Realities of the Music Industry, putting at risk all he’s built over the years while battling with a moral disease common to all humanity, but determined to live no longer a slave.
CHAINS was directed by Bright Wonder Obasi featuring Solomon Lange, Apst Tayo Christian, Chioma David, Anne Ekwueme, Naomi Mac, Flora Lange, Henry Ned, Apst Anslem Madubuko, Onos Ariyo and Jayclef Adewale.
CHAINS- No Longer Slave is set for cinemas across Nigeria from the 16th of August.
Something Like Gold
Something Like Gold was directed by Kayode Kasum and produced by Sandra Okunzuwa. It tells the story of a woman who rediscovers love after being left at the altar, all while facing the challenges of rebuilding her life following the seizure of her father’s wealth.
The cast includes Sandra Okunzuwa, Teniola Aladese, Kunle Remi, Mercy Johnson Okojie, Segun Arinze, Timini Egbuson, Patrick Doyle, Waliu Fagbemi, Tope Olowoniyan, Broda Shaggi and Bukky Ogunnote.
Something Like Gold was initially released to the cinemas on 29th September 2023 and then headed over to Netflix on 16th August 2024.
Force Empire
Force Empire is a new film by Ndy Akan, featuring Richard Mofe Damijo, Nse Ikpe-Etim, Mercy Aigbe, and Segun Arinze.
Force Empire follows DCP Mfon, portrayed by Nse Ikpe-Etim, who is determined to unmask the perpetrator responsible for assaulting her protégé, ASP Halima, played by rising star Enwongoabasi Ibom. Mfon’s mission to expose the corrupt officers within the Nigerian Police Force system, despite the resistance from higher authorities drives the narrative.
Force Empire will premiere in cinemas on August 23, 2024.

Tokunbo
Tokunbo is an action drama that explores themes of kidnapping, political mobs, and survival which tells the story of an ex-car smuggler racing against time to deliver a kidnapped girl.
The film boasts a talented cast, including Gideon Okeke, Adunni Ade, Darasimi Nnadi, Tosin Adeyemi, and Funlola Aofiyebi-Raimi.
The action drama film was directed by Ramsey Noah for Chris Odeh and Joy Ediete.
Tokunbo starts streaming globally on Netflix on the 23rd of August.
Break of Dawn
Break of Dawn was directed by Umanu Ochuwa Elijah and produced by Ereyitomi Temisan. Starred by Nollywood faves including Stan Nze, Debby Felix, Efe Irele, Kanayo O. Kananyo, Segun Arinze, Jidekene Achufusi, Moet Abebe, Crazy Clown, Mike Ezuruonye, Lemuel Asena, Emeka Golden, Omini Aho and others.
Break of Dawn tells the story of two masterminds (Prostitute & Fraudster) who under the cover of night, got entangled in a dangerous game of survival where every choice is a gamble.
The movie Break of Dawn is set for premiere in all cinemas across the country from 23rd August.
The Weekend
“What happens when your fiancée insists on meeting the family, but no one is who they seem?”.
The Weekend tells the tales of Nikiya and Luc who seem to have a perfect relationship until she insists on meeting his family. What starts as a charming weekend quickly turns into a nightmare.
The Weekend was directed by Daniel Oriahi and produced by Uche Okocha. Starring Gloria Anozie-Young, Bucci Franklin, Uzoamaka A., Brutus Richard, Bryan Okoye, James Gardiner and others.
The movie is set for cinema debut on the 30th of August.
