December brings a mix of cultures and conflicts to Netflix, from Western frontiers to Eastern mind games, each offering a distinct narrative. These seven titles, spanning romance to thriller, offer entry points into diverse stories. Here is the list:

Emily in Paris (Season 5) 

Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) takes charge of Agence Grateau’s Rome office, facing client pressures and romantic pulls from her Paris past, including a faltering campaign that strains ties with friends like Mindy Chen (Ashley Park) and Gabriel (Lucas Bravo), while new suitor Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini) adds layers to her adjustments in Italy.

The cast also features Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu as Sylvie Grateau, Samuel Arnold as Julien, Bruno Gouery as Luc, and Lucien Laviscount as Alfie. Created by Darren Star, with direction by Andrew Fleming and episodes helmed by directors like Jenni Ross, the season releases on Netflix on December 18, 2025.

Stephen 

A psychiatrist (Gomathi Shankar) evaluates a man (Michael Thangadurai) who confesses to abducting nine girls, but their talks reveal a shifting dynamic where roles of hunter and hunted invert, pulling her into a psychological descent. Supporting roles include Smruthi Venkat, Vadivel, Shrisha, Harija, and Vijayashree. Directed and written by Mithun Balaji, with music by Raghav Rayan and production by Jayakumar and Mohan under JM Production House, the film arrives on Netflix on December 5, 2025.

The Covenant 

A Nigerian family ventures into militant-held areas to find an abducted brother, unearthing an ancestral pact that ties his fate to theirs, requiring blood sacrifices for resolution amid rituals and betrayals. The cast features Segun Arinze, Walter Anga, Zubby Michael, Gideon Okeke, Sola Sobowale, Temitope Olowoniyan, Uzee Usman, Bimbo Manuel, Ivie Okujaye, Chioma Okafor, Joseph Momodu, and Chinonso Arubayi. Created and produced by Vincent Okonkwo, directed by Dimeji Ajibola, with cinematography by Peter Moloto and distribution by Blue Film Distribution, the series streams on Netflix on December 12, 2025.

The Price of Confession 

Art teacher An Yun-su (Jeon Do-yeon) stands accused of her husband’s murder, her composure raising suspicions until prison inmate Mo Eun (Kim Go-eun), known as a “witch,” offers a confession swap that demands Yun-su commit a killing for her freedom, all while prosecutor Baek Dong-hun (Park Hae-soo) and lawyer Jang Jeong-gu (Jin Seon-kyu) pursue the truth.

Additional cast includes Lee Mi-do as Kim Mun-jun and Kim Sun-young as Walsun. Directed by Lee Jung-hyo and written by Kwon Jong-kwan, produced by Production H and Studio Dragon, the series launches on Netflix on December 5, 2025.

The Abandons 

In 1850s Washington Territory, Fiona Nolan (Lena Headey) guards her adopted orphans on a silver-laden claim against the Van Ness family’s land grab led by Constance (Gillian Anderson), sparking clashes over hidden crimes, illicit ties, and raw survival on the frontier. The ensemble includes Nick Robinson as Elias Teller, Diana Silvers as Dahlia Teller, Ryan Hurst as Albert Mason, Natalia del Riego as Lilla Belle, Lucas Till as Garret Van Ness, Lamar Johnson, Aisling Franciosi, and Toby Hemingway. Created by Kurt Sutter with executive producers Sutter, Christopher Keyser, and Otto Bathurst, and directed by multiple, including Stephen Surjik, it debuts on Netflix on December 4, 2025.

Love and Wine 

Heir Ovee Sityebi (Ntobeko Sishi) to a Cape Winelands estate impersonates an average man to court medical student Amahle (Masali Baduza), swapping roles with driver Nathi (Thandolwethu Zondi), who then charms winery manager Lena (Thando Thabethe), exposing class gaps during harvest mishaps. The cast also includes Bongile Mantsai, Desmond Dube, Rorisang Mohapi, N’kone Mametja, and Simone Neethling. Directed by Amanda Lane, written by Lane, Darryl Bristow-Bovey, and Zelipa Zulu, with executive producers Odirile Mekwa, JP Potgieter, and Harriet Gavshon under Quizzical Pictures, the film hits Netflix on December 5, 2025.

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery 

Detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) assists young priest Jud Duplenticy (Josh O’Connor) in solving an improbable death at a rural New York parish, probing a congregation rife with past sins that twist faith into a maze of remorse. The cast comprises Josh Brolin as Monsignor Jefferson Wicks, Glenn Close as Martha Delacroix, Kerry Washington as Vera Draven, Mila Kunis as Nat Sharp, Jeremy Renner as the town doctor, Andrew Scott as Lee Ross, Cailee Spaeny as Simone Vivane, Thomas Haden Church as Samson Holt, and Daryl McCormack as Cy Draven. Written and directed by Rian Johnson, produced by Johnson and Ram Bergman via T-Street, it streams on Netflix on December 12, 2025.
