The South African-born Hollywood actor Greg Kriek plays the role of Marcus in the Hollywood movie Rebel Moon

With over 60 screen credits won internationally, Greg Kriek became South Africa’s most internationally credited actor as he plays the role of Marcus, a villain-soldier in Rebel Moon.
Greg has been featured in films such as Rogue, Maze Runner: The Death Cure, Colonials, Homestead, Condor’s Nest, Love at First Lie, Don’t Look Up, Inside Man: Most Wanted, Metamorphosis, Momentum, Born To Win and many others.
“My role in the franchise series Rebel Moon is a dream come true as he gets to represent South Africa on one of the world’s biggest stages at the Rebel Moon LA premiere,” Kriek said.
The peculiarity of this achievement is the African representation on a global stage. Kriek was permitted to include Afrikaans in his dialogue and that’s a win for South Africa as a country.
“Director Zack had spent time previously in Cape Town directing commercials and developed a special love for South Africa. He permitted me to improvise Africaans ‘voetsek’ into my dialogue which captured the essence of Marcu’s rough character”. Kriek added in his interview with News24.
Greg Kriek is now regarded as South Africa’s brightest Hollywood export to watch.
