Five Nights at Freddy’s 2
The haunted pizzeria returns with deadlier animatronics and deeper trauma. Mike Schmidt is still protecting his little sister, Abby, from the murderous machines, but this time the robots have been upgraded, and the secrets run darker. Josh Hutcherson, Piper Rubio, Elizabeth Lail and Matthew Lillard reprise their roles; Emma Tammi directs. In theatres on December 5.
Ella McCay
An idealistic young politician is suddenly thrust into the governor’s mansion and must navigate ruthless scrutiny, family drama and her own doubts. Emma Mackey stars alongside Jamie Lee Curtis, Woody Harrelson, Ayo Edebiri and Albert Brooks in James L. Brooks’ sharp, warm political comedy. It’s going to be out on December 12th.
Silent Night, Deadly Night
A fresh take on the notorious 1984 slasher: a traumatised boy grows into an axe-wielding Santa who punishes the naughty in spectacularly bloody fashion. Rohan Campbell, Ruby Modine and Mark Acheson star; Mike P. Nelson directs. It’s going to be out in cinemas on December 12.
Avatar: Fire and Ash
Jake Sully and Neytiri face their biggest threat yet as they protect their family against both returning human forces and the volcanic, war-loving Ash People clan. Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis and Oona Chaplin star in James Cameron’s third Pandora chapter. Out on December 19 (IMAX/3D).
The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants
SpongeBob and Patrick dive into the uncharted depths of Bikini Bottom on a chaotic quest that tests friendship and maturity. Tom Kenny, Bill Fagerbakke, Clancy Brown, Rodger Bumpass, and Carolyn Lawrence voice the beloved characters; Derek Drymon directs. It’s going to be out on December 19.
The Housemaid
A desperate young woman with secrets takes a live-in job for a wealthy couple whose perfect life hides dangerous lies. Sydney Sweeney, Amanda Seyfried and Brandon Sklenar star in the twist-filled adaptation of Freida McFadden’s bestseller. Coming to the cinemas on December 19.
Is This Thing On?
A freshly separated dad turns his pain into stand-up comedy gold on New York’s open-mic scene. Will Arnett, Andra Day, Laura Dern and Bradley Cooper star; Cooper also directs. Out on December 19.
Marty Supreme
Timothée Chalamet plays a brilliant, troubled ping-pong prodigy hustling his way through the underground scene in Josh Safdie’s electric original drama. Gwyneth Paltrow co-stars. In theatres on December 25.
Anaconda
Jack Black, Paul Rudd and friends plan a fun jungle trip to remake the 1997 cult classic – until a real giant snake decides they’re on the menu. Meta horror-comedy chaos directed by Tom Gormican. It will be out in cinemas on December 25.
Song Sung Blue
Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson play a Wisconsin couple who chase their dreams through decades with a Neil Diamond tribute act. Craig Brewer directs this moving, music-filled true story. Out in cinemas on December 25.
