Tell Me More

Ten years after the beloved series Before 30, Nemsia Studios returns with After 30, a sequel film that picks up the story of four modern African women navigating love, friendship, and identity in the vibrant city of Lagos. Co-written by Bibi Ukpo, Omorinsojo Spaine, and BB Sasore, and directed by Omorinsojo Spaine, the film continues the journey of characters originally portrayed by Damilola Adegbite, Beverly Naya, Meg Otanwa, and Anee Icha.

First introduced in 2015, Before 30, created and directed by BB Sasore and co-sponsored by Airtel Nigeria and First Bank, aired on DStv’s Africa Magic and explored the societal pressures placed on Nigerian women to marry before reaching thirty. Featuring a star-studded cast including Karibi Fubara, OC Ukeje, and others, the one-season series ran for eight episodes.

Now, After 30 revisits these women a decade later as they confront life beyond the milestone age, tackling new challenges in marriage, career, and personal growth. The sequel premiered to its first audience at the 2025 NollywoodWeek Film Festival in Paris, which took place from May 7 to 11 at Cinema L’Arlequin. The film later launched globally on Prime Video on May 9, 2025.

In Summary

Beyond After 30, Nemsia Studios made its mark with a strong presence at this year’s NollywoodWeek Film Festival in Paris.
