The Nigerian International Film and TV Summit is an annual event that assembles all stakeholders, filmmakers, professionals and investors to discuss the opportunities, possibilities concerns and challenges revolving around the business of film in Nigeria.

This year’s summit will be held from the 28th to the 30th of August and includes keynote conversations with industry experts, workshops and networking. The keynote speakers are:

Hon. Andrews Egyapa Mercer, Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture.

Juliet Yaa Asantewa, CEO National Film Authority of Ghana.
Brenda Fashugba Regional Lead Creative Economy & Head of Arts Nigeria at the British Council.

Atinuke Babatunde Academy Director – MultiChoice Talent Factory Western Region.

Michael Okwuike, Head of Programmes Wazobia Max TV & Project Coordinator Wazobia Academy.

What To Look Out For

The summit is occupied with numerous conversations with industry experts, content executives, film exhibitors, investors and relevant keynote speakers in the African film space.

There are also special screenwriting workshop sessions with the US Consulate and The Writers Lab (NewYork), AI training for TV and Video with Nigerian Film and TV Training Workshop with The Connected Set UK. As well as a Summit pitching session for emerging filmmakers.

The Nigerian International Film and TV Summit was founded in 2017 by Ijeomah Onah, to examine the issues related to film business in the country and how to solve them.

The main objective of this summit is to provide the needed platform to extensively examine issues related to the film business in Nigeria, such as Hollywood distribution in Nigeria and Nollywood’s appeal for international distribution across territories.
