Directed by Kayode Kasum, produced by Feyifunmi Oginni, and written by Stephen Okonkwo, “Ajosepo” promises an engaging narrative captured by Emmanuel Igbekele.
Key Background
Kayode Kasum embarked on his filmmaking journey as a motion graphics designer at Wale Adenuga Productions before transitioning to a producer role in an advertising company. His directorial debut came with “Dognapped,” Nigeria’s first live-action animation film, released in 2017. However, it was his 2018 film “Oga Bolaji” that catapulted him to fame.
He has since directed several notable Nollywood productions, including “Sugar Rush” and “Fate of Alakada.” Kasum’s directorial portfolio extends beyond feature films to include over 10,860 minutes of directing MNET’s telenovela series “Unbroken” and “Riona.” Notably, he helmed Nigeria’s first live-action animated movie and one of the country’s highest-grossing films.
Kasum has received accolades for his work, including a nomination for The Future Awards Africa 2019 prize for Filmmaking and recognition as one of the top Nollywood directors in 2020.
In 2023, he was further acknowledged for his directorial contributions to films such as “Something Like Gold,” “Afamefuna,” and “Far From Home.”
